Mensa duo elected to GTVoice Board

Mensa duo elected to GTVoice Board

05 Oct 11

GTVoice was set up as a network for individuals and organisations with an interest in gifted and talented education in the UK. The network began as a reaction to the reduction of funding provided by the government in the UK for gifted and talented education.

After a recent election the board of GTVoice held their first meeting on 3 October 2011. British Mensa Director Chris Leek and British Mensa’s Chief Executive John Stevenage were both duly elected to the team of nine board members. Mensa is keen to be involved in this project as it conforms to their aim to identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity.

The GTVoice Board is committed to drawing on the full range of members' expertise to inform decision-making and future direction. After consulting its membership on ideas for the future direction of gifted education, they will publish the outcomes.

Denise Yates of the National Association of Gifted Children (NAGC) has been voted as Chairman and Anna Comino-Jones as Secretary. Other members are Dr. Paula Radice, Aileen Hoare, Tim Dracup, Matt Dickenson and Johnny Ball.
